1953: Queen Elizabeth II Coronation

Queen Elizabeth II's coronation took place on 2 June 1953 at Westminster Abbey. Queen Elizabeth II was the eldest daughter of King George VI and, 9 September 2015, would become the longest-reigning monarch in the history of the nation.
