Following the easing of coronaviris restrictions, we have extended our services. Follow the link to find out how to plan your visit.

Trafford Local Studies Centre is located at 1 Waterside House, Sale (M33 7ZF).

Our Centre is located on the ground floor of the Waterside building, immediately adjacent to the Sale Public Library. Our facilities include a Reading Room, dedicated to the study of our archival materials, public computers for local history research, microfilm and microfiche readers, and a local history library collection. Our library collection is comprised of local and national journals, periodicals and books, some of which are available for loan and others only for reference.

We encourage residents, researchers, and members of the public to visit our facility, to not only to take advantage of the local history material we offer, but to look at selections from our art and heritage collections that are currently on display.
