'Happy and Glorious': Trafford Archives in Neighbourhoods
Have you seen me?
Thanks to the support of the National Archives' Archives Testbed Fund, Trafford Local Studies Centre has been able to produce 32 Jubilee- and Coronation-themed lamppost signs, to be on display in local neighbourhoods.
Our aim was to install the signs as close to their original location as possible. While some are in prominent places – such as across from the Sale Town Hall or in front of the Stretford Public Hall – others are in residential neighbourhoods. So keep an eye out for the signs showing Silver Jubilee Street Parties on Barkway Road in Stretford, Coberley Avenue in Davyhulme, Rothiemay Road in Flixton, Elgin Drive in Sale, Maple Road in Partington, or Byrom Street in Altrincham, to name a few!
