'Happy and Glorious': Celebrating H.M. the Queen's Platinum Jubilee
Join us to celebrate H.M. the Queen's Platinum Jubilee!
This year we have put together a special archive programme to celebrate the Queen's 70 years on the throne.
Look out for our Jubilee and Coronation-themed lampposts on display in Trafford residential neighbourhoods. These images are taken from our archives, and are on-view in the neighbourhood which they were taken.
Visit your local library* to see how your area celebrated previous Coronations and Jubilees.
Visit Local Studies to see a display of original archive material, from 1850s to the present day.
Contribute to our archive! We are collecting images, videos and written stories about how you celebrated this year's Platinum Jubilee.
On Saturday, families and children are invited to visit Local Studies to participate in a Jubilee-themed heritage trail.
Supported by The National Archives’ Archive Testbed Fund
*Displays are on view in the Altrincham, Sale, Stretford and Urmston libraries, which are open this Saturday, 4th June 2022 from 10 am - 4 pm.
