Porcelain mug commemorating the coronation of George V and Queen Mary. Includes polychrome busts of king and queen, together with the inscriptions 'King George V/Queen Mary/Crowned June 22nd 1911'. The obverse recites the song 'God Save the King'. The mug is also stamped with the label 'Urban District Council/ Ashton-upon-Mersey'.
